Personal memories
Left Aarhus around 2 pm and drove southwards. Met a mate in Kolding, changed cars and headed for the German border where the car was filled with beverages and our bellies with burgers. The O2 Arena was an easy find and the car park was very accessible. The sun was out and big speakers in front of the venue were playing Scorpions and Accept. Yes, we had arrived in Germany! Great venue which was packed to the last seat. Thanks to Lasse and Kristian for holding a perfect spot right in front of Janick. We couldn't get any closer to the action, and Lasse actually caught Janick's sweat band. The setlist was a bit different than last year in Dublin, adding more new songs that worked very well. All five were highlights. Also got to see the new big-Eddie for the first time. Probably one of the best ever. After chatting with several people from Maiden Denmark we headed back to Denmark, high on this great concert experience.
Best Bruce quote: "It works when you say 'ich bin ein Berliner', but if you're from Hamburg, it's a whole different meaning; 'ich bin ein Hamburger'."
The support band Rise To Remain did a great job too.
