Personal memories
This was my second Iron Maiden show on this particular tour, and it was very different from the Brixton show four months earlier. In Maiden world Vega is a very small venue, so there was no stage set and no drum riser. Just the backline and a few backdrops. In a way this made the concert special. You could get very close, and it was almost like seeing the band in a club. During 2 Minutes To Midnight I made clear eye-contact with Steve Harris at the front. I'll never forget that. But the size of the venue was also an indication of the decline Iron Maiden had in recent years.
