Personal memories
This concert is very special as it was both my first Maiden concert, but also my first concert ever. Me and my friend made the 45 min. train journey to the capital and were both very excited to see all these loud, chanting Maiden-fans in front of the venue. During the show we sat at the top back row with a great view to the stage since this venue is not that large. The lights went out and Nicko entered first to the intro of Tailgunner. No big Eddie was used, just the walk-on.
A second show was scheduled the day after, but it was cancelled as the ticket sales were poor. But the people who bought tickets for the second night were cramped in on the first night, which made the venue beyond packed. I'm also a fan of Anthrax, so the support act was just brilliant. As my friend and me were not that old at the time, we were picked up by my friend's uncle afterwards, as going home alone on the train was not permitted. Oh, sweet youth!
